Michael Kim comes from a background of 20 plus years in commercial banking, commercial real estate and specialty finance. He brings knowledge of what developers look for in getting a project off the ground. Michael understands site selection and evaluation, feasibility studies, budget analysis, capital capture, city entitlement and approval process, construction coordination to completion and certificate of occupancy, to post development of management or sales of asset.
Michael is the Orange County Managing Director for PACE Equity.
Michael’s background is primarily as a commercial real estate capital advisor sourcing and negotiating debt and equity assignments for real estate investors and developers. With his background, he has intimate knowledge of the solution that PACE Equity brings to all facets of construction projects. He previously held senior positions at specialty finance firms and national/regional banks such as Wells Fargo, Tokai Bank, Union Bank and Provident Bank where he managed and completed over $1BB in transactions.
Michael studied finance and business administration at the California State University and is a licensed broker with the California Department of Real Estate. He also underwent commercial banking and credit training through the Risk Management Association (RMA) and the Commercial Finance Association. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing and golfing.
