Dan Sheline is a Managing Director at PACE Equity, providing funding for new commercial real estate developments and large-scale retrofits and rehabilitation projects for the Bay Area.
Dan has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate equity and debt, with direct involvement in over $5 billion of hotel, office, industrial, and multi-family investments and loans. He has lived and worked in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Columbus, with further experience in all major U.S. markets.
He was previously a Managing Director & Real Estate Portfolio Manager at Barings, LLC, overseeing a $750 million commercial real estate portfolio. Prior to partnering with PACE Equity, he founded Clear Sky Hotel Advisors, a firm specializing in hospitality investment, loan, development, renovation/repositioning, and asset management consulting.
Dan has also held the positions of Senior Vice President, Vice President, Development Project Manager, Analyst, and Appraiser over his tenured career. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and has further education from The Ohio State University, the Appraisal Institute, and AH&LA Educational Institute (as a Certified Hotel Administrator).
He currently resides in San Francisco, maintaining the connection to his university through the Cornell Hotel Society and affiliating with the NAIOP, BOMA, ULI, and HAMA. Dan is also involved with the Telluride MountainFilm Festival and the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.
